How do I create Analytics dashboards and charts?

Globality provides an Analytics feature which allows users to curate a dashboard of charts detailing activity on the Globality platform over time. Users can create a library of charts and add those charts as needed to their dashboard. These charts can provide an overview of projects on the platform, including their budget and number of invited providers. Additionally, charts can be generated to show total awarded spend for projects on the platform. Users can also export the data from charts as needed for further analysis.

How do I access analytics?

Users can access Analytics from the left-hand navigation bar by clicking Analytics.

What data can I access with analytics?

Analytics has access to all project and proposal data to which the logged in user has visibility.

How do I create a chart?

To create a new chart, you can click Add Chart at the top of the Dashboard. You can also navigate to the All Charts tab and click to Create New Chart.

Once you begin to create a new chart, you can ask Glo to generate a chart by using natural language. Simply describe the data you are interested in and then Glo will define the chart details that are appropriate. You can modify the selections from Glo to fine tune your chart before saving. Alternatively, you can choose to create a chart manually and select all chart parameters.

While creating a chart you can generate a preview at any time to confirm the chart details are accurate. Once you’ve generated a preview you can then save the chart and add it to your dashboard.

What questions can I answer with analytics?

Analytics allows you to create charts tracking the project pipeline and spend through the Globality platform. You can create charts showing the total number of projects in flight on the platform and then filter by category or cost center, for example. In addition, you can create charts to show the total budget or total award value of projects across various dimensions.

Charts can be built on the following metrics:

Project Proposal
Number of Projects Number of Proposals
Budget
Total Fees (Taxes, discounts)
Number of Invited Providers

The following data points are available to filter, group or segment charts:

Project Proposal
Number of Projects  Number of Proposals
Budget
Total Fees (Taxes, discounts)
Number of Invited Providers
Lowest bid proposal
Estimated Project Duration

Analytics has access to these metrics for all projects to which the logged in user has visibility.

What type of charts are supported with analytics?

Analytics support line, bar and donut charts.

How do I export chart data?

Click on the "…" icon in the upper right-hand corner of any chart. Choose the option to Export as CSV. A CSV file will be downloaded which includes a single row for each project or proposal that meets the filter requirements of the chart. The CSV will also include project and/proposal names along with any group by or segment by dimension values as well.

How do I remove a chart from a dashboard?

Users can remove a chart from the dashboard by clicking the "…" menu in the upper right-hand corner of a chart and choosing Remove Chart. This will only remove the chart from the dashboard. The chart will remain in the All Charts library for later use.

How do I delete a chart?

To delete a chart users can navigate to the All Chart tab within analytics and clicking the "…" icon at the far right for the chart table to delete. Users can then choose to Remove Chart. A warning will be presented indicating that this will delete the chart and remove it from any dashboards where it may present. This cannot be undone.

Can I share a chart or dashboard?

No, all chart and dashboard data are specific to the user and the projects to which they have access. You can download a CSV of the data and share that data with users if needed.
